Released back in early November 2020, the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X desktop processor now has a US$309 list price on Amazon. After more than two and a half years since its arrival, the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X has a list price of US$309 on Amazon, which is US$10 higher than its US$299 release price. However, the generous 50{b7c9e2c88beb1a84f22d94ab877a147f4adc4b3519717f3f957a0f34e16918d1} discount brings its price down to a tempting US$153.60. Thanks to this price tag, this aging desktop processor remains an interesting option for those looking to build a budget gaming or general-purpose desktop PC.

Back when it arrived on the market, the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X was the fastest Ryzen desktop processor with six cores. The breakdown by feature focuses on gaming performance (4.7), ease of installation (4.6), stability (4.6), and value for money (4.5).

The final time the GIGABYTE AORUS 17H was outlined on Amazon, the RTX 4080-run gaming laptop computer was accessible for $2,389. Now, for $2,299, you get the exact very same requirements as previous time, but at a lessen value. We can realize if there is some apprehension pertaining to the cost, but if you browse the on-line retailer, you will uncover that most RTX 3080 Ti gaming laptops are much more high-priced than the equipment you are about to appear at.

Also, this notebook has a 17.3-inch screen, and although we advise versus purchasing these types of goods due to the fact of their sheer dimensions, the pricing caught our consideration, and it will catch yours way too. The establish high-quality of the AORUS 17H is best-tier, sporting a blend of metal and plastic, with the hinges currently being rigid as perfectly. The RTX 4080 attributes 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM and can operate up to 175W, the maximum restrict NVIDIA sets for GPUs functioning in gaming laptops.

The RTX 4080 is complemented by a 14-main Core Intel 13th-era Main i7-13700H, which can strengthen up to 5.00GHz. The exact configuration of the CPU includes six general performance cores and 8 ability-performance types. Other than that, the screen is a 1080p IPS Lcd and supports up to a 360Hz refresh charge, suggesting that this gaming notebook was intended with esports titles in brain.

The AORUS 17H also attributes 16GB of DDR5 RAM, alongside with a 1TB PCIe NVME Gen 4 SSD, and you will be pleased to understand that equally the storage and memory can be upgraded down the street. Supplied that this is a 17.3-inch gaming notebook, it is loaded to the brim with significant-speed USB and exhibit ports, alongside with a single Thunderbolt 4 input, which is terrific to see.

GIGABYTE went the total nine yards and included a 99.9WHr battery in this device, which is the greatest capability any laptop can have whilst however remaining authorized to be boarded on a aircraft. Our only gripe about the AORUS 17H is its 1080p display. With an RTX 4080, it should be authorized to flex its muscle groups at a 1440p resolution, as it will not just give a large framerate encounter to the consumer, but that higher resolution provides additional detail on a 17.3-inch screen.

The I/O of this gaming notebook is stacked

Thankfully, there is a workaround to this minimal dilemma, assuming you treatment about it. If the render resolution benefit goes up to 200 p.c, then it will fairly a lot imply that you are gaming at 4K, and belief us, the notebook RTX 4080 GPU can deal with that load.

We do not know how several units are stocked on Amazon, but that $2,299 is a person of the most beautiful factors of the AORUS 17H. Gaming laptops with comparable specifications are about $400 to $500 a lot more high priced, so if it is an insane benefit that you look for, then appear no more than this.

Advertised by Acer as a slim gaming laptop, the 0.8-inch thin Predator Triton 500 SE has been available since mid-2022 with Alder Lake processor options and GeForce RTX 3000 series GPUs. With a list price of US$2,999.99, the model with Intel Core i9-12900H, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, 32 GB LPDDR5 memory, and a 1 TB SSD is now down to US$2,499.99.

Back in June 2022, the Acer Predator Triton 500 SE (PT516-52s-70KX) visited our labs for an in-depth analysis. Now, the PT516-52s-99EL is below the US$2,500 threshold on Amazon, thanks to a 17{b7c9e2c88beb1a84f22d94ab877a147f4adc4b3519717f3f957a0f34e16918d1} discount that pushed the US$2,999.99 to the lowest value in 30 days. While it shares the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti mobile GPU with the reviewed model mentioned above, this unit comes with a slightly faster processor and twice the amount of installed memory. However, most of our review’s findings obviously apply to this model as well.

In addition to the graphics adapter with 16 GB dedicated memory mentioned above, the Acer Predator Triton 500 SE (PT516-52s-99EL) features the Intel Core i9-12900H processor, a 16-inch WQXGA IPS 240 Hz G-Sync compatible display with 500 nits brightness, 32 GB of LPDDR5 memory, a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4×4 SSD, Intel Killer DoubleShot Pro with Ethernet E3100 and Wi-Fi 6E AX1675, and runs Windows 11 Home out of the box. The list of connectivity options includes HDMI 2.1 with HDCP support, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 and USB charging, and two additional USB 3.2 ports (one Gen 1, and one Gen 2).

In our aforementioned review, the Acer Predator Triton 500 SE didn’t fail to impress, proving capable of offering premium performance. Also priced at a premium level, this laptop has shown some drawbacks in the upgradeability sector, since it comes with soldered-in memory and the SSD is inaccessible without removing the motherboard first. When subjected to heavy loads, the Acer Predator Triton 500 SE becomes pretty hot and very loud. However, for less than US$2,500, the PT516-52s-99EL model provides good value to those looking for a potent mobile gaming machine with a rather simple and slim design.

The Razer Blade 14 configuration with an RTX 3080 has been put on sale for US$1,000 off MSRP (Image: Razer)

The powerful 14-inch gaming laptop originally carried a price tag of way above US$2,500, but thanks to a new clearance sale, the RTX 3080-powered model variant of the Razer Blade 14 has now dropped below the US$2,000 threshold.

With the emergence of the mobile RTX 4090, RTX 3080 Ti-powered gaming laptops no longer find themselves in the top spots of most performance charts and benchmarks. However, as most their successors debut at insanely high prices, previous generation models such as the Razer Blade 14 are getting significant price cuts which arguably make them worth a look from a price-performance perspective.

For example, the reputable American gaming specialist has now put the aforementioned Razer Blade 14 with the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 with 8GB of VRAM on sale for US$1,799, which is a whopping 35 percent or US$1,000 discount relative to the original list price of US$2,799. The 14-inch gaming laptop is further equipped with 16GB of DDR4 memory, a large 1TB SSD and a beautiful 165Hz QHD display. At just 3.92 lbs, the Razer Blade 14 is also surprisingly light considering its powerful components.

We recommend prospective buyers check out our detailed written and video review of a slightly different configuration of the Razer Blade 14. Among other strong suits, we were impressed by the high-end gaming laptop’s colorful IPS display and the well-built aluminium chassis, while the cooling system of our RTX 3070-equipped test unit was surprisingly quiet under load. Assumably, this RTX 3080 configuration of the Razer Blade 14 offers even a bit more performance, and considering the steeply discounted deal price, it may be worth a look for gaming enthusiasts who value the portability of a 14-inch machine and don’t want to exceed a budget of US$2,000.
