Last year, the MSI Katana GF66 with Intel Core i7-12700H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics visited our labs for an in-depth review. The less potent MSI Katana GF66 12UD-436 shares many features with the 12UGS, a machine that turned out to be “a laptop with a balanced price-performance ratio, delivering a fairly affordable entry into the top class of mobile gaming.”
Now, the MSI Katana GF66 with Intel Core i7-12650H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics is down by 22{b7c9e2c88beb1a84f22d94ab877a147f4adc4b3519717f3f957a0f34e16918d1} on Amazon, so those interested can buy it for the lowest price in 30 days. This discount pushes the US$1,149 list price down to US$899. In addition to the processor and video card mentioned above, the 12UD-436 model also comes with 16 GB of memory, 512 GB NVMe SSD storage, USB-C 3.2 Gen1, a 15.6-inch 144 Hz display, and Windows 11 Home.
If our in-depth review mentioned earlier is not enough, those interested in buying a new gaming laptop for less than US$1,000 should also know that the MSI Katana family has a good rating on Amazon. The discounted model is now sharing 1,537 user reviews with a few other siblings. In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I’ve been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
