After their official announcement at CES 2023 back in January, Ada Lovelace-powered gaming laptops are finally hitting the market. Although the majority of these machines are launching at rather inflated prices, one of the more affordable RTX 4050 options from the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 series has now received a noteworthy discount.
In this case, the reputable retailer antonline is selling the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 configuration with the AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS octa-core processor and the aforementioned Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 dGPU with 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM and an efficient TGP of 85 watts for US$1,099 including free shipping. This deal offers US$177 or 14 percent in savings, which certainly isn’t much in comparison to other recent gaming laptop offers, but it constitutes one of the very first decent discounts for the brand-new Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3.
In addition to the specs mentioned above, this Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 configuration sports 16GB of DDR5-4800 memory as well as a 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. As expected, gaming laptops in this price range still feature rather basic displays, in this case it’s a 120Hz 1080p IPS display with a peak brightness of 250 nits and just 45{b7c9e2c88beb1a84f22d94ab877a147f4adc4b3519717f3f957a0f34e16918d1} of NTSC color space coverage. Therefore, this deal is best suited for gamers who definitely want to try out one of the latest CPU and GPU combinations, but can live with a rather dim and colorless screen due to the primary usage of an external monitor.
